Small pours, no shortcuts

Walkways are where sloppy work shows fastest - uneven joints, bird baths that hold water, edges that spall after one freeze. We form these the same way we form a driveway, just smaller.

We will lay out the route with you on site, set the width to the way people actually walk it, and step or curve it where the grade calls for that instead of forcing a straight line.

What's included

  • On-site layout you approve before we form
  • Compacted base and edge forms
  • Consistent width and hand-tooled edges
  • Positive slope so water sheds, no low spots
  • Optional stamped or colored border
  • ADA-friendly slopes for commercial walks

Sidewalks & Walkways - common questions

How wide should a concrete sidewalk be?

36 inches is the minimum for a single-person walk; 48 inches is standard for a front walk where two people might walk side by side. We default to 48 inches unless you're tight on space.

Do you do ADA-compliant sidewalks?

Yes. We pour to ADA slope and width specs where required: 36-inch minimum clear width, max 5% running slope, max 2% cross-slope. For commercial work we pull the permits and pass inspection.

Can you match an existing sidewalk when replacing a section?

Yes. We match width, finish, and color as closely as concrete allows. There will be a visible joint where new meets old - that's unavoidable, but the surface itself blends.
